Ah film grain, they don't make it like they used to.

But in our spotless digital world you might want to keep some to hand for a few good reasons;

  1. Texture adds depth
  2. Grain fixes 'plastic' skin after de-noising footage
  3. Grain helps to beat compression algorithms
  4. Grain increases the perceived sharpness of your image
