#379 - Going out on a laugh
“Always keep in the funny.”
That's some sage editorial wisdom that was passed down to me by another editor, and I've taken it to heart ever since.
If you can keep a joke, a laugh, a chortle or even a snort-inducing giggle in the edit, then do all you can to keep it in.
It will keep people watching, make a human connection and probably make the whole project better overall.
