#159 - Could this be your first After Effects Expression?

Inspector Gadget was a fav growing up...

Wiggle is most peoples first After Effects Expression because it's very easy to understand.

Wiggle (25, 1)

Wiggle (Frequency - how often per second, by Amplitude - how many pixels)

In this issue of Cut/daily we're going to look at a couple of examples of using really simple expressions, like wiggle, to achieve some useful aesthetic transformations such as film gate weave and 'animation boil' - which is that wobbly hand-drawn look.

Both of these can make your simple graphics look far more interesting in about 5 combined seconds of typing.

To add an expression to a parameter in After Effects, option click on the parameter to open the expression editor for it and then start typing.
