#385 - Cut/daily Meets... Editor Brett W. Bachman

Editor Brett W. Bachman has worked with an impressive number of first-time feature film directors including Mali Elfman (Next Exit), Michael Sarnoski (Pig), Grant Mohrman (The Dunes), Keith Thomas (The Vigil), Karen Gillan (The Party's Just Beginning), Ryan Prows (Lowlife) and several directors cutting their second feature film.

Hopefully all of that editorial and relational hard work will pay off when those directors go on to their next, bigger and better gig.

Incidentally, he has edited three Nicholas Cage movies (Pig, Mandy, Color Out of Space) - which must be some kind of achievement in itself.

Brett's most recent project saw him cutting 7 episodes of Netflix's Fall of the House of Usher.

Of everything Brett has to share in this issue of Cut/daily Meets... my biggest takeaway is his unwavering commitment to keeping the creative act of editing enjoyable for himself on every project and for everyone he works with too.

Otherwise, what's the point?
