#324 - Black Friday Post Deals Actually Worth Your Time

Black Friday comes round every year and every year for the past 6 years I've made a huge round up of the very best deals.

Why?

I love a bargain.

I used to make my supermarket lunchtime purchases based on value vs net weight.

I'd hold a sandwich in one hand and a pasta salad in the other and let the ‘scales’ decide, with one eye on the ‘Price per 100g’ small print.

I refuse to pay full price if I don't have to, for example, with Adobe's Creative Cloud, where I've been on discounted rate for years now. If you're an existing subscriber, you can likely secure a discounted rate too, just by asking and I'll share more on this in a minute.

Secondly, Black Friday is one of the best times of the year to make investments that you would have to make anyway, just much more affordably as many brands and services reserve their biggest discounts for this weekend.

In this issue I wanted to share a few highlights of the best deals that are worth a moment of your consideration.

Who knows some training you buy today might just transform your career tomorrow! Or a new bit of kit might rejuvenate your day-to-day editing experience.

Two caveats:

One: invest in your wetware before you invest in your hardware.

Invest in learning a new skill, technique, approach or method before adding a new toy to your desk, that you may not really need.

Two: Deals that aren't really deals - It's also worth using a price history site like Honey to see if any particular deal is actually authentic or just manufactured.
