#133 - A Professional's Guide to Colour Grading a Documentary

All storytelling is powerful, but there's something special about great documentary storytelling because it upholds some kernel of truth from the real world, about the shared human experience that we all call life.

Or at least that's the hope.

In this issue of Cut/daily I want to share with you a really excellent guide to colour grading a documentary, working from the initial conform all the way through the grade through to finishing touches like removing a hair from a single frame of a film scan.

What I particularly appreciated about this tutorial was the entirely 'non-YouTuber' presentation style; no 'Whatsupguys' no annoying overly long title sequence, no badly mixed background music -  just straight forward and professional.

A breath of fresh air!
