YouTube - The Land of Opportunity?

The average YouTube user spends more than 50% of their time on the site watching videos that are longer than 20 minutes.
The average user spends about 42% of their time watching YouTube on a TV.
Per Lucas Shaw's Bloomberg newsletter, covering a new report from Tubular Labs.
These first two stats would suggest that the demand for the ability to tell a compelling narrative over the length of a TV episode will only increase.
This should be an opportunity for talented editors!
That said, as YouTube shorts continue to battle it out for supremacy with TikTok:
Videos that are less than one minute account for about 75% of the views and 57% of the videos uploaded. They just account for a minority of watch time.
There's also an opportunity for those with the ability to tell a compelling narrative in a concise format, much like a 30-60 second commercial.
Hire a Pro: Here's one idea to get work out of YouTube.
Find a channel you like, that has a decent audience size and is clearly monetized - Yet you feel the editing could use some work.
Get in touch and say you'll re-edit one of their videos for free to show them how much better it could be. If they agree, make it good.
Hopefully, they'll be impressed.
Then offer to do the same for their future videos for a professional fee.
